If you are a woman under the age of 50 who is considering bariatric surgery, you may be eligible for an exciting research initiative studying the effect is of obesity on the endometrium (lining of the uterus) before and after bariatric surgery.

    

Clinical Trials

The NYU Langone Weight Loss Program actively participates in clinical trials that help advance the practice of weight-loss medicine.

    

Surgery for Adolescents

NYU is currently conducting a clinical trial comparing the benefits of gastric banding surgery with that of gastric bypass surgery in adolescents. NYU is one of only two institutions allowed to perform gastric banding surgery on this patient population.
